However, I hate the way I need to squeeze extremely carefully, otherwise way too much product shoots out and I have to use another layer (which, as I mentioned, makes it pill). I love how (I’m totally going to explain it wrong but bear with me) it’s vacuum sealed so by the end of the tube I don’t need to cut it open to use the excess. Packaging: I have a love/hate relationship with this. Two of them are basically water, so this cream pretty much only has 4 potentially irritating ingredients. I’ve heard of straight up squalane breaking some folks out but I believe the majority of the ingredients are pretty safe. Ingredients: AVÈNE THERMAL SPRING WATER,SQUALANE, BEHENYL ALCOHOL, CAPRYLIC / CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, GLYCERIN, SODIUM ACRYLATES C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, WATER. One bottle lasts me about a month and a half (less now, since I am in a very dry climate this summer and need to reapply more often) if I use a generous amount twice a day. Price: I suppose it’s not objectively “cheap” at £11 (~15 USD) for 50 ml, but considering I was shelling out a whopping £33 (~45 USD) for the same amount of product by Ren, I find it very reasonable. I tried the Avene Skin Recovery Cream and ugh, it felt so silky and CREAM-y in comparison, but alas, such is life.Īlso, it PILLS-mostly when you try to use more than one layer of the product. It’s a very liquidy, light moisturiser and it takes a little while to adjust to it. The best way I can describe the texture is that it’s as if you took a nice creamy moisturiser and mixed it with some water. It smells clean and basic, not overpowering or noticeable at all.įeel: I’ll admit, it’s not fantastic. I bought this moisturiser as, according to u/sssfc, it is the most FA-safe one out there. To cut a long story short, I started to get itchy closed comedones which turned into active acne and didn’t respond to any conventional acne treatment (BP, salicylic acid, tretinoin). 99% sure I had malassezia folliculitis/fungal acne at the beginning of the year. Skin concerns: i have dry/normal skin, prone to closed comedones and acne. ![]() I’ve made my way through over two bottles of this moisturiser, so I felt like it was time I reviewed it! ![]() Posts without a valid tag will be removed by Automoderator.
